About Us

Compassionate Care in our Community.

Mount Gambier In Home Hospice Care (IHHCare) is a community not-for-profit organisation that was established through the SA Government Palliative Care 2020 Grants program. We are currently funded by The Hospital Research Foundation Group.

IHHCare volunteers offer compassionate, holistic support to people with a life-limiting illness by performing activities that complement and enhance the care being provided by the professional staff of both the hospital and the Community.

Our trained volunteers are part of a multidisciplinary team and in consultation with our Hospice staff, will provide direct support to people identified in need of care, including carers and families. Time spent with clients will vary according to need and the number of available volunteer hours over the week.

Our services are provided free of charge.

We especially acknowledge the support and guidance of the management team at the Warrnambool and District Community Hospice Inc.
